Our preferred formula is through Pushpay. It is fast, secure and efficient. And it's convenient for us too because it helps our book-keeping!  You need to go through these steps only once. Once your account is created, you just need to log in!

How it works

  1. If you haven't already done so, visit the Pushpay website.
    Note that it is a fully secure website ("https" address and a padlock is displayed next to the address).
     
  2. Decide how much you want to donate.
    Tip: why not set up a recurring gift? That way, it will happen automatically every month until you decide otherwise.
    – If you click "recurring", you can decide on the frequency and date.
     
  3. Enter the "giving type"
    Tip: if you don't have any specific idea, leave it as is (General Giving).
     
  4. Enter your full name and email
    Tip: Very important, as it allows us to prepare tax receipts at the end of the year (see below for other important information).
     
  5. Enter your cell phone number.
    This allows you to follow your account and change your donations via an app on your cell phone.
    Not necessary for a one-time gift... and if you don't need a tax receipt.
    The cell phone is your unique identifier. I.e Mr. or Ms. "514-555-0123" is a unique person and all his or her donations will be added together to prepare the end-of-year tax receipt.
    Tip: If you don't have a cell phone, enter the telephone number of your regular phone. Later on, you will select "Call me with the confirmation code instead"

  6. Click on Next.
    A new page will appear.
     
  7. Enter your card details ("CVV" is the 3 or 4 digit code written on the back of your card).
     
  8. Click on Give.
    A new page will appear.

    The following steps are not necessary for a one-time donation. However, they are needed:
    – for recurring gifts;
    – to receive a tax receipt at the end of the year.
     
  9. Enter a password.
    You will receive a confirmation code via a text message on your cell phone.
    If you have used a land line, check to receive a phone call instead.

Complete your account information

To receive a valid tax receipt, you need to provide your official home address. This has to be done only once.

  1. Access the Pushpay website.
    Tip : if you have recently used Pushpay with the same browser, you may already be logged in.
     
  2. Click on the login button (top right).
     
  3. Enter your mobile phone number or email and your password.
    You will land on your page, which is called the Dashboard.
     
  4. Click on your name (top right, in the red bar).
    Select "Edit my profile".
     
  5. Enter your home (mailing) address, and click "Update Info".

Tax receipts for the year will be prepared in February of the following year.
